so… we had to do a quick collection for an astin mansion post on texags…
astin is one of our favorite places to shoot…
ashley’s reception had a tent in the backyard that contained all the fun… and sparklers always make for an amazing exit…

koryn and mike threw a fabulously large wedding at the hobby center for performing arts in downtown houston, texas… koryn personally delivered milk and cookies in a personalized paint can to her guests staying at the magnolia hotel – we devoured it two seconds after we took a photo…
usually at aggie weddings, they do the aggie war hymn.. this one was led by koryn’s grandfather, Dutch Hartman ’49, a former yell leader… there was so much going on: Fried Ice Cream kept the dance floor rocking all night… cigars on the outside patio… portraits in the founders club… five food stations – so yummy… four drink stations… little boxed cakes… cotton candy tubs at the end of the night…
afterwards: an insane after party at the third floor of the magnolia hotel… I quit at 3am, but based on facebook photos, it went on til the early morn… ha

gbg is the gourmet burger grill in san antonio, tx
i had a photo shoot at the mcnay muesum and had some time before i had to jet to houston for another shoot the next day…
heather is one of my best friends – we had burgers and wine with jeff and little ander…
little ander knows all the words to coldplay’s viva la vida… it was like watching a mini chris martin (without the bloody cockney accent)
afterwards, bubble gum…!!!

a little downtown photo shoot with ashley and tyler…
they’re so cool… ashley held the pumpkin up to her face before i could suggest it…
we had to scramble a little: the sun sets sooo early – it gets super dark, super fast…
but why fight it…? we ended up creating a starry night in the pitch black of 5:30pm

sarah and brandon got hitched at kali-kate in south austin… buda, actually… cindy – the coordinator was really cool, even after we surprised her by showing up with a photobooth…
crystal and brian wills drove down to shoot with me…
the guys and the girls both got separate cabins along the the lake in segiun..
livas was there as a groomsman… which is appropriate because he’s married to sarah’s sister… he took some pics also…
chinese paper umbrellas are awesome… sarah’s was pink
the first dance was carlton and fresh prince’s apache dance… [i had to youtube it]
wills shot the photo of me shooting the aggie war hymn… i’m leaving that as the last frame…
everyone should experience being in the middle of a circle at a reception… maybe next time i’ll moonwalk or something…
