camp smith — fish camp — robin and i became instant friends when we first met in palestine, tx… after we got back, i remember that we took a road trip to the galleria in houston on a whim for a little shopping spree… we’re also tennis buds…
robin’s wedding was held at wilshire baptist and the tower club in the thanksgiving building in dallas…
the regular crew was there… crystal and livas… i need to come up with a name for all of us when we shoot together, you know, like on america’s best dance crew: boogie bots or phresh select… ha
after the rehearsal dinner, we had forth meal at cafe brazil – our table was the only table wearing normal clothes… why…? anime convention…!!! wicked-awesome…
robin and i have a future date at top golf – that place looks awesome – i’m a little jealous that crystal got to hang out with the guys and tee off on balls with computer chips… but livas and i learned that emo kids wear girl jeans and watched the comedic stylings of anjelah johnson… “you have boyfriend?”
we got 4 looks at the kiss… thanks, remote camera…
robin and aaron rode away in a carriage… i got a shot of them getting into it… then i ran around to get the other side, and i hit a piece of metal with my arm… so i have a nasty carriage fender shaped hematoma on my bicep… it kinda looks like a tattoo…
on sunday, livas flew to galveston for a photo shoot and crystal and i tried to eat at craft at the w… it was closed so we got some gelatto in victory park…

i shot joshua and tyler’s wedding last year: two redheads on st. patty’s day: i still have songs from boondock saints and dropkick murphys and house of pain in my head…
josh (i’m the only one who calls him josh and not joshua) was my editor at the battalion… now he’s the publisher and editor of the pflugerville flag… newspapers gennerally run at a loss, so if josh gets the paper one dollar of profit, he gets a hella-big bonus…
their son will be born today… how do i know this…? because i have mad baby-bearing prediction skills… ha… tyler is either going to naturally pop a baby out today, or they are inducing her… either way, she’s gonna lose nine pounds instantly…
three days ago, we spent some time at a playground and a huge field of corn in hutto, tx… josh was trying to be a video journalist by documenting the shoot with his new hd camera, but we kept pulling him from behind his camera to play with his wife and yet-to-be-born son…
crystal was there too, skooling me love-affair-style…
afterwards, burgers and a paper airplane throwing contest at the watertank bar and grill in plugerville…

lily pads, muddy bridges, cliff overhangs and giant concrete bears make for a fun shoot around highland park in dallas…
afterwards we cooled off at village burger bar in west village: champagne mandarin iced tea and sweet potato fries are a yummy-after-shoot snack…

katie and i had been talking about a little cap and gown portrait session for a while now, like a year and a half…
the only problem was that the gown and all the regalia didn’t come in until right before graduation…
so we shot around wehner… (had an aggie moment with the fluting) then did some stuff around downtown bryan…
then, unbeknownst to me and katie, her family surprised her with a prius after we were finished shooting…
turns out that her mom also bought a prius for herself and had been keeping it a secret for a few weeks…
yes.. the car also included a bottle of wine… ha
her family took us out to eat at square one for some asparagus soup and duck confit to end the evening…

do you remember super bubble gum…? i remember it being hard… and it really didnt taste like bubble gum… and you got a ton of it in your plastic pumpkin at halloween…
we would always shove 8 pieces in our mouths and try to blow a huge bubble…
i got to hang out at champions cove in duncanville… it was game day: putt-putt, bean bag toss, bunco, poker, darts, cake walk… stuff like that
the last event was a bubble blowing contest…
side note: at fish camp, i made my freshmen eat 4 pieces.. then i had them add a cracker and try to blow a bubble — try it… if you dare…
