gbg is the gourmet burger grill in san antonio, tx

i had a photo shoot at the mcnay muesum and had some time before i had to jet to houston for another shoot the next day…

heather is one of my best friends – we had burgers and wine with jeff and little ander…

little ander knows all the words to coldplay’s viva la vida… it was like watching a mini chris martin (without the bloody cockney accent)

afterwards, bubble gum…!!!

just some fun stuff from shoots around halloween…

the coat and tie is for an editorial about ill-fitting suits… kung fu kicks were a bonus…

i think i almost dislocated my shoulder trying to put on that jacket…

do you remember super bubble gum…? i remember it being hard… and it really didnt taste like bubble gum… and you got a ton of it in your plastic pumpkin at halloween…

we would always shove 8 pieces in our mouths and try to blow a huge bubble…

i got to hang out at champions cove in duncanville… it was game day: putt-putt, bean bag toss, bunco, poker, darts, cake walk… stuff like that

the last event was a bubble blowing contest…

side note: at fish camp, i made my freshmen eat 4 pieces.. then i had them add a cracker and try to blow a bubble — try it… if you dare…

so i have this thoery on great locations: they’re never on the main road.. you have to take an alternate route, then take some unnamed road and drive for awhile…

that’s how i ended up in shiro, tx yesterday…

while i’m sitting in the middle of a field (where everything is probably poisonous), i’m waiting for the 6’4″ giant deformed killer wearing a blood splattered apron and a mask of human skin with a nasty chainsaw to sprint out of this building…

i was invited by david and keta jones to spend sunday at camp creek… (keta is “keta’s hallmak” in town)

camp creek is located in roberson county… or four miles east of new baden.. or… somewhere in the boonies…

the pope family was there – i shot a portrait session with them 10 months ago… 1 month ago, conner popped out… he felt left out, so i got some face time with the little dude…

the rest of the day was spent boating with ben, feeding deer some corn with my hand, bocce ball and fishing.. and by fishing, i mean spending 10 minutes baiting a minnow on a hook and accidentally snagging a snapping turtle by the shell…

back in san antonio…

i shot NIOSA tonite… bad idea… it was college night… lots of shoulder to shoulder not moving.. i think if i was shorter, i’d freak out… it’s kinda like mardi gras at it’s worst…

i was supposed to hook up with heather, but ander is in the hospital – lack of oxygen or something… so it’s hard to be like..”let’s get a drink and catch up…!!”

maybe next time, but i’m only in san antonio once a year…

so i’m trying to figure out wordpress…

should i stick with blogger…?

or should i drop 1600 on a custom flash blog..

i would have to write everyday.. or after every shoot…
